Thanks to financial support from the State of Arizona and State Legislators, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office is in the preliminary phases of implementing a new Reentry Program that will coordinate connectivity to services for inmates prior to release from our facility.
The vision of the Reentry Program is to enhance the quality of life and promote public safety by facilitating a seamless transition for individuals involved in the justice system.
This program will include connecting inmates with resources to aid them with housing, employment, and other support once they are released. Eventually, the program will be housed in a new building that is to be constructed next to our existing jail facility.
Currently, PCSO is hiring the first Reentry team members. The position of Justice Services Officer is open now by clicking here.
Reentry staff will be responsible for screening and assessing individuals booked into the jail to identify and connect them to meaningful services that will appropriately address the underlying causes of their criminal behavior. Reentry staff will engage in social support, work with system partners to coordinate care, ensure discharge plans are in place, and provide warm hand-offs to service providers.
