Deputy Sheriff Cadet -Registry

Applicants interested in becoming a Sheriff's Deputy who are not yet certified should apply for this position. Deputy Cadets must successfully complete an intensive 20-week law enforcement academy. Upon graduation, Deputy Sheriff Cadets will be promoted to Deputy Sheriff and begin Field Training.

PCSO Deputies protect lives and property, preserve the peace in Pinal County through the patrolling of assigned areas, impartial enforcement of laws, detaining and interviewing violators, apprehension of suspects, and responding to calls for assistance, and develop and maintain effective relationships with residents and community organizations under basic supervision.

Deputy Sheriff (Lateral)

Applicants who are currently sworn law enforcement officers or have active certification and would like to lateral to PCSO should apply for this position.

Detention Officer Lateral

Applicants who are currently correctional officers or have active certification and would like to lateral to PCSO should apply for this position.

Maintain safety and security of inmates, staff and detention facilities, provide custody and control of inmates, preserve order and discipline, and supervise inmates according to Pinal County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Center policies and procedures and state and Federal regulations under basic supervision.

Detention Aide

Applicants interested in becoming a Detention Aide should apply for this position.

Detention Aides perform a variety of administrative and security functions for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office - Adult Detention Center, including monitoring audio and video security systems, processing inmate and operational records, updating database, and performing duties in compliance with ADC policies and procedures under basic supervision.

Detention Aides do not have direct contact with inmates.

Dispatcher - Registry

Applicants interested in becoming a 911 Dispatcher should apply for this position.

Dispatchers answer emergency and non-emergency calls for service, take information from callers, enter information into the database, and provide assistance and information to Pinal County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) Deputies and other emergency services agencies under basic supervision.
