Looking to start a rewarding volunteer journey that helps homeless animals in your community? Visit the shelter during Public Volunteering Hour.
Volunteering hours are 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
During Public Volunteering Hours, anyone 16 years and older is welcome to come out to the shelter and help with dog walking, cleaning, treat enrichment, organizing donations, or other needs around the shelter! No appointment is needed, just show up!
Public Volunteering is a great way to get to know your local shelter, shelter animals, staff, and volunteers before committing to becoming a full-fledged volunteer, which opens even more opportunities for YOU! Public volunteering is also ideal for those looking to collect community service hours quickly and without hassle!
Fill out the Volunteer Form above to have volunteer coordinators help you begin your volunteer journey!
Looking to become a fully orientated volunteer? It's easy! We ask you to attend public volunteering at least twice. After that, coordinators schedule you for your orientation! Once you have been through orientation, many more volunteer opportunities open to you, you gain access to our private volunteer group, get to join in on new classes, access to log your hours via mobile app, and you are no longer restricted to public volunteer times and can volunteer at any time during business hours!
Are you looking to help your local animal shelter but can't physically make it down to the shelter?
No worries! You can still help shelter animals right from your home! Pinal County Animal Control and Care (PCACC) is launching a brand new volunteer program for tech-savvy internet users who want to help reunite lost/found pets, network animals in need, and promote the shelter!
