In the heart of the desert, Pinal County is home to scenic views, rugged independence, and a storied history of rural living. Over the past 40 years, we have also been home to some of the fastest growth in the nation. Our population has increased from under 100,000 in 1985 to nearly half a million residents today. During that time, we have worked hard to find the balance between the suburban and rural lifestyles — protecting our quality of life, attracting jobs, and investing in well-connected transportation.
