"On December 16th, 2022, I received a phone call from Karen Rickard, who wanted to discuss her interactions with Code Compliance Officer Andrea Ford concerning her zoning compliance case. Ms. Rickard stated she is 82 years old, and when she first contacted CCO Ford, she was very hostile towards CCO Ford.
Ms. Rickard stated CCO Ford utilized "excellent customer service skills," was "very calm" with her, and was able to "communicate very professionally" how the code compliance process works. Ms. Rickard stated CCO Ford was able to "calm her down," which led to them having a "great conversation." CCO Ford then explained what she needed to do to comply and then worked with her until the case was closed as being compliant.
Ms. Rickard ended by stating that she is "so glad Andrea is working for Code Compliance and the County" and that "she absolutely has great customer service skills, which are long gone in today's times."
