Kore Redden

Kore Redden, who has been with Pinal County since 2008, was named as a Deputy Director of Public Health in October 2022. Kore has oversight of Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Surveillance, Public Health Emergency Preparedness, and Medical Forensics. In addition, Kore oversees the Office of Emergency Management with a unified command structure between the Directors of Public Works and Public Health.

Kore has over 20 years of experience in supervisory positions, having served as the Division Manager of Public Health Emergency Preparedness, Interim Division Manager of Infectious Diseases, Assistant Director of Operations, Assistant Fire Chief of Training and Occupational Safety, and Director of Risk Management during her tenure with Rural Metro Fire-Southwest Ambulance. She is the recipient of two Master's degrees – one from the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security, as well as a Master's degree in Public Health.

Kore has led the public health department in command and control structures during the COVID pandemic, responses to Novel H1N1 influenza, Ebola virus disease, Hepatitis A, measles, and sheltering operations during wildland fires and power outages. She has extensive experience coordinating public health emergency response activities, and a history of collaborations with community partners, including numerous healthcare delivery systems, law enforcement, fire/EMS, schools, state and national agencies.
